Mr. Max Müller to Sir Edward Grey.~(Received April 12.)
Your telegram No. 53 of the 31st ultimo.
Peking, April 12, 1910.
My German colleague has instructions to make joint protest, but after twice telegraphing to his Government for instructions my French colleague has been directed not to join in making any fresh protest.
As I do not regard the question as one of great importance, I propose to take no action in the absence of further instructions.
